Himalayan treks & trips in September 2027
The connoisseur's month: clear skies, golden valleys, half the crowds
September is the best all-round month in the Indian Himalaya. The monsoon withdraws from Himachal, Ladakh and Spiti turn gold, every pass is still open, and crowds thin out after Independence Day. It's the last month for Zanskar, Pin Parvati, Parang La and the 6,000 m expeditions, and the first clear month for Beas Kund and Bhrigu Lake photography.
