Peak expeditions — FAQs

Which is the easiest 6,000 m peak in India?
Yunam Peak (6,111 m) in Lahaul — a non-technical snow climb from a roadhead on the Manali–Leh highway, 8 days from Manali. Prior high-altitude trekking is required.
Do I need mountaineering experience for Friendship Peak?
No prior climbing experience — but at least one 4,000 m+ trek. Crampon and rope skills are taught at base camp.
Are IMF permits required?
Yes for peaks above 6,000 m; we arrange them. Foreign nationals additionally need the IMF peak fee and, for expedition peaks, an X (mountaineering) visa.
