Description
Journey into the mystical, once-remote kingdom of Zanskar—one of the last untouched strongholds of Tibetan Buddhist heritage. Cross the mighty Shinkula Pass at 16,580 ft, gaze in awe at the freestanding holy rock monolith of Gumbok Rangan, visit the cliff-dwelling Phuktal Monastery carved directly into a cave, explore sprawling Karsha Gompa in Padum, and marvel at the colossal Drang-Drung Glacier.
THE GLACIATED EXPEDITION ROUTE
Ascend through the raw Keylong and Darcha outpost, setting high camps along the formidable Milang Glacier moraine before confronting the summit ridge pyramid.
WILDERNESS SAFETY & AMS PROTOCOLS
Every batch is monitored with fingertip pulse oximeters twice daily, portable medical oxygen cylinders, Gamow hyperbaric protocol, and satellite communication checkpoints.
