Description

Plunge into one of the wildest and most pristine adventure sports in the Himalayas! Hidden deep within the dramatic granite canyon of Kothi Gorge, this technical canyoning expedition takes you into secluded slot canyons inaccessible by road or trail. Slide down polished natural rock chutes, leap into crystalline mountain pools from 15ft cliffs, swim through narrow water carved corridors, and abseil directly through roaring waterfalls.

THE GLACIATED EXPEDITION ROUTE

Ascend through the raw Keylong and Darcha outpost, setting high camps along the formidable Milang Glacier moraine before confronting the summit ridge pyramid.

WILDERNESS SAFETY & AMS PROTOCOLS

Every batch is monitored with fingertip pulse oximeters twice daily, portable medical oxygen cylinders, Gamow hyperbaric protocol, and satellite communication checkpoints.

Trekking Guidelines & Mountain Safety Protocols

Certified procedures by Himalayan Wilderness Leaders & First Responders

Medical Backup On-Trail
1

Swimming Confidence

Basic water confidence is required. Even though 5mm wetsuits and vests provide tremendous buoyancy, comfortable breathing in splashing water is necessary.

2

Guide Vector Strictness

Always jump and slide strictly along the exact trajectory demonstrated by your lead canyon guide to avoid underwater rock ledges.

cravel.in Wilderness Safety Mandate:Every expedition is equipped with portable medical oxygen cylinders, fingertip pulse oximeters, specialized mountain stretcher gear, and satellite GPS communication checkpoints.

Trail Etiquette: What To Do & What NOT To Do

Essential mountaineering ethics to protect fragile Himalayan ecosystems and ensure a safe summit

✓

What To Do (Trail Do's)

Essential
Keep your arms tightly crossed over your chest when sliding down rock chutes
Land in pencil position (feet together, toes pointed) when jumping from cliff ledges
Float on your back with feet pointing downstream if caught in fast channel currents
Wear your wetsuit zipped up tightly to maintain your protective thermal layer
✕

What NOT To Do (Trail Don'ts)

Prohibited
Never jump headfirst or attempt dive rolls into canyon pools
Do not step on dark, mossy rock surfaces as wet algae is extremely slippery
Do not wander ahead of the lead guide inside the slot canyon
Avoid bringing non-waterproof items into the canyon

Capt. Siddharth R.

"The acclimatization schedule on Mulkila was calculated with extreme surgical precision. Our IMF certified lead captain was constantly checking SpO2 levels and snow anchors. Summit day felt safe despite the 55° ice wall. Best expedition outfit in the Himalayas."

Response from cravel.in Captain

Thank you Siddharth! Safety protocols and gradual altitude gain on the Milang Glacier are our absolute top priority.
