Description

The quintessential open trekking peak in the Pir Panjal Range. Rising majestically above the Solang Valley and Dhundi, Friendship Peak (5,289 m / 17,353 ft) offers aspiring alpinists a real taste of mountaineering: crampon footwork, ice axe self-arrests, fixed rope ascents, and an exhilarating midnight alpine summit push commanding front-row vistas of Hanuman Tibba, Shitidhar, and the Dhauladhar Range.

THE GLACIATED EXPEDITION ROUTE

Ascend through the raw Keylong and Darcha outpost, setting high camps along the formidable Milang Glacier moraine before confronting the summit ridge pyramid.

WILDERNESS SAFETY & AMS PROTOCOLS

Every batch is monitored with fingertip pulse oximeters twice daily, portable medical oxygen cylinders, Gamow hyperbaric protocol, and satellite communication checkpoints.

1

Alpine Acclimatization Schedule

Gaining over 8,000 ft in 4 days requires strict acclimatization. We incorporate 2 dedicated acclimatization walks to Lady Leg ridge. Maintain a disciplined 4L daily hydration schedule.

2

Technical Gear Inspection

All technical climbing equipment (climbing harness, helmet, crampons, ice axes, and gaiters) is inspected and fitted on Day 2. Trekkers receive comprehensive snowcraft drills before the summit bid.

3

Midnight Summit Protocol

The summit push begins at 01:30 AM to negotiate frozen, hard snow and avoid afternoon snow melt hazards. Climbers are strictly roped in teams of 3 to 4.

cravel.in Wilderness Safety Mandate:Every expedition is equipped with portable medical oxygen cylinders, fingertip pulse oximeters, specialized mountain stretcher gear, and satellite GPS communication checkpoints.

Capt. Siddharth R.

"The acclimatization schedule on Mulkila was calculated with extreme surgical precision. Our IMF certified lead captain was constantly checking SpO2 levels and snow anchors. Summit day felt safe despite the 55° ice wall. Best expedition outfit in the Himalayas."
