Description
The definitive "First 6,000-Meter Peak" of the Indian Himalayas. Rising to an astonishing 6,111 meters (20,050 ft) near the high-altitude Baralacha La pass on the border of Lahaul and Ladakh, Mount Yunam requires no technical rock or ice climbing. With rigorous gradual staging at Jispa and Bharatpur, it is the most achievable 20,000-ft summit in the world for fit, determined mountaineers.
THE GLACIATED EXPEDITION ROUTE
Ascend through the raw Keylong and Darcha outpost, setting high camps along the formidable Milang Glacier moraine before confronting the summit ridge pyramid.
WILDERNESS SAFETY & AMS PROTOCOLS
Every batch is monitored with fingertip pulse oximeters twice daily, portable medical oxygen cylinders, Gamow hyperbaric protocol, and satellite communication checkpoints.
